REFLECTION 11 ON GRADED ASSIGNMENT 1
This
particular class required us to do a lesson plan as first graded assignment.
What we had been through throughout this assignment? Well, let us tell the
story now...
At first, we were not really shocked when our beloved lecturer mentioned it to
us. This has been a requirement assignment for this class. Thus, we already
knew it at the first place. Overall, we enjoyed did this lesson plan since we
had been exposed to do this kind of assignment.
In
this assignment, we deal with one of four language skills. We already chose
listening skill as a subject to learn in class. We spent for hours to gather
ideas in order to make it interesting as we will demonstrate it in our
presentation session. All aspects were put into consideration to suit students,
goal of study and procedures during teaching session.
Technology
was used as main instrument in teaching a lesson. Hence, traditional teaching
was used in minimal way. This was most challenging part as we had to find the
suitable software for the everyday conversation since we
decided to teach this topic. We spent much time in searching for the right
software. Alhamdullilah, we managed to find it because this software determined
the theme and the rest of activities in class.
We hope we will be able to teach this lesson to a real
group of students at college level in presentation session soon. We also hope
that all students will show their enthusiasm in learning and tackling main idea
in everyday conversation in listening skill.
