linguistic subject that we have chosen is Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).
Basically, CDA is “a field that is concerned with studying, analyzing written
and spoken texts in order to reveal the discursive sources of power, dominance,
inequality and bias.” (). In other words, it defines as we interpret or
analyze both spoken and written texts by the capitalist which is the political

CDA encourages discovery
learning where the students and computer are group mates as a result to
provide information.

Computer play vital role as a
tool to view input like slides. Moreover, it assists students to seek
information. The online portal helps students to access input and organize
information.

Language Acquisition) theories and practices.
Behaviourist CALL
Memorization approach is applied in learning process where students have to
learn repeatedly in order to understand. For example, in studying Arabic
language, students are required to memorize grammar and tenses.
Plus, the computer becomes a role in teaching second language (L2). For
example, in order to get the correct pronunciation, the students use
audio-lingual teaching to correct errors. For example, in Mandarin, the
word of ma possesses different pronunciation and meaning.

discussion: Week 6 (ungraded assignment 2)
1.How
has CMC transform the dynamics of interaction?
In CMC
setting, it has changed the dynamics of interaction whereby technology has been
providing many applications in order to make human interaction to be more
interesting, dynamic and attractive. This can be confirmed by introduction of
Social Network Site that helps people to interact with people around the world.
Facebook, Skype, Twitter and MSN Chat room enable people to connect with others
as well as share new information easily regardless of time and place.
Discussion about certain issue may help people to gain valuable knowledge.
Next, speakers have freedom of going online or offline if they want to chat
with others. Interaction via computer give fully freedom to speakers to voice
out their concerns pertaining controversial issue, for instance, without no one
know their identity. Plus, it helps people to gain confidence in expressing
their thoughts.
2. How has this transformation shape
society?
CMC has helped
in many ways especially for students. Blog, chatting, video conference, e-mail,
SNS and others are types of CMC. These types of CMC help the society in
communicating easily with people around the world. It provides fastest ways of
sending messages, information and memos via Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo!Mail. As
student, CMC assists in learning. It increase their social equity, learner
participation, cultural contact, oral proficiency and others. They can share
their knowledge and opinions by using CMC as a tool of learning.
3. Is this mode of
communication in sync with Islam?
CMC
mode or “Computer Mediated Communication” can be synced with Islam. Moreover,
if it is related to Islamic education where people can easily access all of the
information which is on our fingertips. All CMC are not only used for
conventional educations but also can be used to convey da’wah, discussion about
any curiosities in Islamic issues or even to teach Islamic values in the class.
Nowadays,
a da’i does not have to always go to the public and preach face to face, he can
spread da’wah in every minute through any social websites like Facebook,
Twitter and blog. In those social websites, they can have a discussion about any
curiosities in Islam. From this, their questions will be answered directly by
the preachers rather than them trying to seek the answers for a long time but
to no avail.
As
to the teaching of Islamic courses in school, teachers can use a particular CMC
that available in order to make the lesson more enjoyable. Sometimes, students
tend to feel sleepy when they learn anything just by looking at their text book
or blackboard all the time. So, with CMC, they will feel eager to learn with
colourful pictures, slides and letters.
Therefore,
Islam is not against the usage of CMC if it is made to gain knowledge or other
benefits. However, if any CMC programs are used for uploading some rated videos
or pictures and to chit chat all the time without care to pray, eat or sleep is
not permissible in Islam. It is better if all people use CMC and gain benefits
from the usage of it.
